On Air — with Ramblin’ Ray

When Ray was a kid he was fascinated by the connection his dad had with a guy named Wally — at dinner it was always, “Did you hear what Wally said today?” Ray was about twelve years-old when he learned Wally was the guy from WGN radio. That connection Wally had has stuck with Ray and taught him that listeners will love you, but you have to love them, understand them and what they are going through. To Ray, radio is a way to mix fun, with real life stories and people everyday. Ray says, do things that matter, use the power of radio to join people together and help them when needed. It’s an easy formula, and he love’s to create it! The following is an example of what Ray like’s to call “Raydio”.

This is what local radio does — it takes the hot topic of the day and turns it into a narrative that communities and listeners can follow along with. Listen along as Lisa Dent & Ramblin’ Ray and the US99 Morning Show try and figure out why a Tiger’s head ended up on a Chicagoland street. The cast is joined by the long lost voice of “Mr. Bean” Lisa’s deceased pig.

A true personality. Authentic, relevant, quick witted and best of all, relatable. He is always a professional and prepared interviewer with any artist I've had in front of him. I'd like him even better if he paid me the 200 bucks he owes me.
